MAJOR | Horvat reveals who he sees as the Canucks' next captain
Bo Horvat was the one who took over from the legendary Henrik Sedin and now he made a major statement regarding who he believes should be getting the role.
Horvat is enjoying a little time off with his family in Florida before he moves to New York. Today, the Canucks' former captain was asked if he thought Elias Pettersson is the one who should be taking over the team as the captain and he gave a simple reply:
Elias Pettersson has been a force to be reckoned with since the season started. Bruce Boudreau has turned him into a new player and now we're starting to see the results.
After he put up 68 points in 80 games last season, he already has 58 through 47 this year on pace for 99. Not only is he putting points, but the effort he's putting in all-around shows a great deal, and grooming him into a powerful leader would definitely set the franchise on the right path.
Do you believe Elias Pettersson is the right man for the job?
