It's not a secret anymore that Luke Schenn is a warrior. When things heat up, he's definitely a guy you want on your side and the Lightning learned it the hard way.
He proved yet again in Game 2 that he was able to get it done when he dropped the gloves to Tanner Jeannot for an extremely spirited tilt:
He gave a veteran speech after the game concerning the fistfight:
''You respect his game. You respect what his role is. He knows what he's doing,» Schenn says. «He's a tough guy and has got some experience doing it. As a team, you don't want to back down at all. I'm not opposed to sticking up for anyone, including myself.»
Schenn didn't leave this matchup intact as he required 7 stitches:
Schenn even added that he held remorse and wouldn't back down if the opportunity presented itself again:
''If it happens again, it happens again. It's a battle, and both teams are going at it. He's got that role to play, and so do I.»
Luke Schenn again showed why he's been a valuable addition to the Leafs.
