MAJOR | Patrik Allvin gives a big update regarding the 11th overall pick
Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin met with the media on Tuesday in Nashville, one day before the start of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
Rumours have been circulating over the last week regarding whether or not the Canucks will try to move up in the NHL Entry Draft, but Patrik Allvin has put that speculation to bed.
Allvin told reporters that he expects the Canucks to remain with the 11th overall pick on Wednesday night and that they won't be trading the pick or trying to move up.
The Canucks have been linked to several prospects over the last couple of weeks, but as more reports come in, it seems that the organization is looking at using the pick to select a defenceman. Two names that have been mentioned the most over the last little while have been Tom Willander, who will be attending Boston University in the fall and Dmitri Simashev of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the KHL.
