SCHENN ROCKING THE HABS
The first period of the Canucks and Canadiens game ended up going Montreal's way on the scoreboard, but one Vancouver defenseman made sure the other team will know his name by now.
Luke Schenn literally pasted rookie winger Juraj Slafkovsk against the boards so hard that the winger almost became a permanent fixture. Schenn was then met by Habs defenceman Arber Xhekaj in retribution for the lambasting but Schenn took him down to meet the ice at Rogers Arena.
With a potential comeback in the second period, thanks to goals by Conor Garland and Ilya Mikheyev and some good goaltending from Delia, one has to look at the big defenceman as inspiration.
Luke Schenn has been in the talks for a potential trade bait or at what cost it will be to resign. His leadership, physicality, and cap friendly salary makes him a valuable asset to any team in the NHL.
