TRADE ALERT: Toronto and Colorado swap forwards
The Avs and Maple Leafs have just announced a trade before the Christmas Break.
The right handed forward Denis Malgin will be packing his bags in direction of Denver while Dryden Hunt will be making the route the other way around.
The Avalanche were looking for depth with the multitudes of injuries they are facing, in this trade, they are adding a former 4th-round pick in 2015, he's produced four points in 23 games this season. His career total goes up to 64 points in 215 outings. Malgin will potentially fill a top-9 role for the Avalanche while their injured players heal.
Dryden Hunt will be calling Toronto his new home at least for the rest of the season. The Canadian forward will provide to Maple Leafs a bigger presence as he's listed at 6'0'' and 192 pounds compared to Malgin's 5'9'' and 176. Hunt began his carrer with the Florida Panthers. With the Avs this season, he has recorded a goal in 25 games, and his career total stands at 42 points in 193 games.
