The Dallas Stars continue to load up for the playoffs adding some more offence acquiring forward Evgenii Dadonov from the Montreal Canadiens. In return the Stars sent forward Denis Gurianov to the Canadiens.
The Canadiens have also agreed to retain 50% of Dadonov's $5,000,000 salary and he's a pending UFA this summer. The Canadiens acquired Dadonov this past summer in a trade for Shea Weber who's currently on long-term injured reserve until his contract expires.
The 33-year-old has four goals, and 14 assists in 50 games this season, but has produced well in the past having three 20 plus goal seasons. As for Denis Gurianov, he's a pending RFA and is currently making $2,900,000.
Gurianov has two goals, and seven assists in 43 games this season. The Canadiens also got younger as Dadonov is 33 while Gurianov is just 25-year-old and is a former first round pick going 12th overall back in the 2015 NHL Draft.
