Tyler Myers drawing interests in the Eastern Conference
According to Elliotte Friedman, in a recent NHL trade rumors article, the Ottawa Senators have been in talks regarding big defensemen Tyler Myers.
It was also elaborated that Myers might be an excellent deadline acquisition.
Myers carries a $6 million AAV through 2024. Since his arrival, rarely has he played up to the standard of a $6 million defensemen. Through his 18 games this season, he's had 4 assists and has been sent to the box for 39 minutes.
When you have a player like Bo Horvat that needs a deal at the end of the current season, moving some heavy salary cap hits becomes crucial!
