After breaking the NHL goal record previously set by the 'Great One" Wayne Gretzky, Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin honored all the goalies he never scored on with a special gift.
It was a historic weekend for the NHL as Alex Ovechkin became the league's all-time leading goal scorer when he netted his 42 goal of the season and 895th of his career on Sunday against the New York Islanders, breaking a record that no one believed would ever be surpassed.
GOAL NO. 895 FOR ALEX OVECHKIN 🚨👑

With that being said, it is hard to come by an NHL goalie that Ovechkin has not scored on, with only a select few holding that honour.
Apart of Ovechkin's celebration, Budweiser Canada has also got in on the action and has decided to award those lucky goalies a special gift to commemorate their achievement for not being victim to one of those 895 snipes.
The 28 current goalies which include our very own Vancouver Canucks star netminder Kevin Lankinen, will be receiving a celebratory can with the title "Zero of 895".
The can comes in a special box that also highlights the number of shots each goaltender faced, along with the phrase "The Greatest Goal Scored Of All Time Couldn't Score On You".
Lankinen, who has really found his footing as a bonified starter in the NHL when he signed with the Canucks in the offseason has faced 14 shots by Ovi, in which he stopped every single-one.
Lankinen is one of nine goaltenders who has stopped at least ten shots from Ovechkin and not allowed a goal. Overall, he ranks tied for fourth, with the only goaltenders ahead of him being Mike Condon, Mathieu Garon, and Vitek Vaněček. Over his career, Lankinen has faced the Capitals three times, posting a 2-0-1 record and a .940% save percentage. - Adam Kierszenblat
Although there is no photo showing Lankinen with the awesome gift, other goalies already received their, posting it only social media while synonymously congratulating Ovi and this amazing record.
«Congrats, Ovi, on 895,» Condon said. «That's a significant number, but as all my fellow goalies would attest, zero is a much more significant number. And, I'm really glad that they don't count preseason.»
