Victoria Royals player gets a twenty five game suspension after dangerous hit

Hockey is back on, and as expected, so is the intensity that comes with it. NHL pre-season is underway, and we've already seen a fair share of dangerous hits. Canadian Juniors have now started to submit their harmful impacts since their season started.

VERY DANGEROUS PLAY IN THE WHL

In an official WHL Game, the Victoria Royals were playing the Everett Silvertips and Alex Edwards was caught throwing a vicious and dangerous hit on Dexter Whittle while forechecking:

‘' Victoria Royals forward Alex Edwards has been suspended for 25 games for this hit on Everett Silvertips defenceman Dexter Whittle. Edwards was arrested twice last season and will be eligible to return to the lineup on December 1st.

25 GAMES SUSPENSION

A repeated offender suspended twice last season, Edwards was awarded a 25-game suspension for his action and won't be eligible to play until December 1st. Edwards collected 7 points in 49 games last season and 95 penalty minutes.
