WATCH: Controversy at WJC in the Canada VS. USA when 2 American goals are disallowed
Canada VS. USA are always the best matchups went they meet at the WJC or even the OG. Tonight is no different while they meet in the semis.
The game is still under way and while the Canadians now hold a 5-2 lead, but twice the Americans scored and it's a coach challenge that changed the pace of this game.
The Americans scored when the game only 3-2, their tying goal was disallowed after Canadians coach challenged the play:
The Americans strike once more few moments after the puck was dropped in the 3rd and yet again a coach challenge had the referees called overturned.
With all the animosity and intensity in these matchups how long are we going to hear about the disallowed goals at the 2023 WJC?
Update: The game's over, USA lost 6-2 as Joshua Roy completed with the empty netter, here's the coach's comment:
