WATCH | Terrifying in-game event as a player has throat cut by skate
Hockey is surely the best sport on earth, but just like anything else, it also comes with its fair share of risk.
The most terrifying thing that can possibly happen, happened in Sweden where a woman had her throat slit by a skate during a game.
The player was taken care of rather quickly on the ice and was immediately rushed to the hospital. The game started again 30 minutes later. In a statement released after the game, it was revealed that the victim was in stable condition.
Thank goodness for the players, referees, and staff awareness on the ice. Without their quick thinking, this horrific event could've turned into a tragedy quite fast.
