WOW: Stats compilation proving Miller's actual worth
J.T. Miller most recently posed his signature on a $56M contract tying him with the Canucks for the next seven years.
Since the beginning of the current season, everyone's been doubting his actual worth even though, after 30 games, he's managed to put up 27 points. Yes I know, at this rate he's not going to put up the same 99 points as he did last year, but he's still on pace for 74 points.
Interestingly enough, some people have complained that Miller was paid only for the performances he had in the 2021-2022 season, but here's an interesting stat.
That's the stat compilation of the last 6 years, Miller's stands at 28 with 349 points in 389 games. Even though an argument could be made that Miller isn't the same player he was last year, defensively speaking.
He's still putting numbers on the board and when I'm looking at that list, I'm not seeing any player winning less than $8M/year. What are your thoughts on this?
