After Sportsnet Firing, Beloved Hockey Voice Jeff Marek Announces New Job With Rival Network

Former beloved Sportsnet analyst and host of the '32 Thoughts Podcast' with Elliotte Friedman, eff Marek has taken to social media to announce that he is returning to the game of hockey with a brand new job and podcast.

Fans were quite shocked when was nowhere to be seen around the 2024 NHL Entry draft this past summer, and it was later disclosed that he was fired by Sportsnet. At the time, is was up for debate on why that was, but the truth did come out.

Marek was stripped of all of his jobs and media outlets after is was reported he had been leaking draft picks to former NHL scout Mark Seidel during the first round of the 2024 draft. It seems like it was not that harmful of an act as "insiders" do this sort of thing all the time. The issue came around the timing of these actions and the implication it has on sports betting.

Jeff Marek Finds New Job With Rival Network

Today, (Thursday Nov 7th) Marek announced on his X account (Formally Twitter) that he will be joining 'The Nation Network' and the 'Daily Faceoff'. He will be releasing a new Podcast called "The Sheet" under the Daily Faceoff Brand.

Hosting a brand new show - Marek will be at the helm of a new show called �The Sheet' on Daily Faceoff (Apple Podcasts, Spotify), where he'll dive into the latest news, rumours, and game insights across the NHL, PWHL, and junior hockey.

Marek reveals why he chose to Join The Nations Network and Daily Faceoff.

«I'm thrilled to be joining a deep hockey bench at The Nation Network and Daily Faceoff where everybody eats, sleeps and breathes hockey 24/7,» Marek said. «This group has emerged as growing leaders in the industry, providing full-service content for hockey fans. Daily Faceoff has a roster of established, credible veteran voices along with future impact players, and I can't wait to get started with them.»

His new podcast, "The Sheet," is scheduled to release its debut episode in December, and fans could not be more excited.
