Disturbing scene in Baltimore: Ravens coach collapses mid game
An unfortunate incident occurred during the Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders game when a member of the NFL Chain Crew collapsed on the field.
The medical response at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore was swift, with teams working quickly to assist and save the operator's life. Without respect for the individual involved, no event video will be shared. The Baltimore Ravens have since released the following statement:
"The game between the Ravens and the Raiders presented in Baltimore was interrupted by a frightening situation.
Indeed, a chainman collapsed on the sidelines. The medical team had to perform a cardiac massage on him on the spot. The man was then evacuated from the field on a stretcher." - TVA Sports
It was an unexpected and unfortunate moment during the game, as such incidents are rarely anticipated in a sports event. Thanks to the quick actions of the Ravens' support staff, it appears the Chain Crew operator's life was saved.
Players from both the Raiders and Ravens took a knee in solidarity, pausing the game to honour the fallen staff member and hope for a positive outcome.
