Hockey Community Mourns the Passing of Beloved Player and Former Captain at the Age of 54

The NHL and hockey community has been hit with another devastating loss at it was announced that long-time professional player and captain Toby Chamberlin has passed away at 54-years-old.

This NHL season has been been hard in many respects when it comes to the passing of former players and popular figures that made the game what it is today.
And unfortunately, the community is once again in mourning.

Toby Chamberlin passes away at 54-years-old

By all accounts, Chamberlin was described as a beloved person and cemented his name in the professional hockey world of Great Britain.
Over his 11 year careers, he dawned the jersey's for the Bournemouth Stags, Swindon Wildcats, Bracknell Bees, and he went on the international level with his country during the 1988-89 World Junior Championship where he was named the team captain.
After hearing about the passing, his former teammates shared this post:
The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats were saddened to learn of the death of former player Toby Chamberlain earlier this week.
Chamberlain started his hockey career in the early 1980s in his hometown club Bournemouth Stags alongside his brother, Luke. He answered the call of former teammate Daryl Lipsey to join the Wildcats in 1987, featuring in over 100 games for the club as a fan favourite, no-nonsense defenceman.
The club extends their sincerest heartfelt condolences to Toby's family and friends at this sad time.
