LATEST | Six feet Four power forward available for free: Intriguing option for the Canucks?
Two players hit the NHL waiver wire on Tuesday, as reported by Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Zach Sanford of Chicago and Jacob MacDonald of San Jose were both waived.
Sanford hits waivers for the second time this season after being claimed from the Arizona Coyotes; the power forward has five points in 26 games between two teams and 331 GP in his career.
MacDonald is a defenceman who has also seen some time on the wing; he's played 123 NHL games and was quite productive when he last saw the AHL.
Being waived by the NHL's two resident basement dwellers doesn't bode well for the future of these players, but we'll wait until tomorrow to see if they're claimed.
