BREAKING | Kraken agree to an extension with their top restricted free agent
The Seattle Kraken found a gem in Vince Dunn when they acquired him from the Blues when they first joined the leagu. Viewed as a steady defenseman back then, he blossomed into quite the player with the Kraken.
Dunn's contract came to an end and since the two parties could not come to an agreement. Dunn and his agent filed for arbitration since he was still a restricted free agent and the Kraken retained his rights with a qualifying offer.
The defenseman is due for a big raise after he had a career high season when he notched 64 points in 81 games. Kevin Weekes just broke the news, it appears that the two parties have finally settled:
The Canucks could have landed Dunn a few years ago, prior to the expansion draft they could've acquired him for the same 3rd Round Pick that was used to acquire Jason Dickinson.
