LATEST | Former NHL enforcer mocks Maple Leafs forward Ryan Reaves
Ryan Reaves has been a polarizing figure since he joined the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 6'2 forward is known for his physical play that excited Maple Leafs fans when they got him. 11 games into the season and Ryan Reaves has yet to score a point and is slowly losing the fanbase.
Reaves has fought twice this season and is a -8 so far. The 36-year-old has averaged just under 8 minutes of TOI.
On November 2nd, the Leafs took on the Boston Bruins. In the game, Brad Marchand slewfoot Timothy Liljegren ending his night and putting him on IR. The Leafs failed to respond physically and ended up losing 3-2 in a shootout to the Bruins.
Following the game, Reaves said "I guess he was lucky I was not on the ice with him..."
Former NHL tough guy, Chris Nilan, who amassed 3043 PIMs in his career called out Reaves saying, "...You couldn't get on the ice with them...come on, there were two periods left in the game"
Reaves will be back in action as his Leafs take on the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight.
