The Vancouver Canucks are coming off a big win over the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night where Brock Boeser scored a pair to take the NHL lead in goals with 17.

On Wednesday, it appears that Patrik Allvin has made a few roster moves, according to Jeff Paterson.

Paterson says that, forward Linus Karlsson and defenceman Matt Irwin have been called up from Abbotsford, while defenceman Akito Hirose has been sent down.

"Linus Karlsson and Matt Irwin are now on #Canucks #NHL roster. Akito Hirose is not"

Karlsson, 24, has appeared in 17 games for the Abbotsford Canucks this season, putting up 15 points (three goals, 12 assists), eight penalty minutes and is a plus-five.

Irwin, 36, looks like he'll get his first action with the Vancouver Canucks after signing with them this summer. The Victoria native has two assists, ten penalty minutes and is a plus-one in 13 games for AHL Abbotsford.

As of now, it's unclear if Karlsson and Irwin will be in the lineup on Thursday night.

Tomorrow night will be the biggest game of the Vancouver Canucks' season thus far, as they take on the Vegas Golden Knights at Rogers Arena in a battle of the first and second place teams in the Pacific Division. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET on Sportsnet Pacific.
