LATEST | Allvin opens up on the Zadorov trade and his future in Vancouver
Allvin pulled a trick out of his bag earlier this week and won the Nikita Zadorov derby. It was well known that there had been tons of interest, but the Canucks' ability to take his whole salary was ultimately the game-breaker.
CANUCKS GM FINALLY ADDRESSES HIS RECENT TRADES
It's been a busy week in Vancouver as they traded the forward Anthony Beauvilier to then have enough cap room to acquire Zadorov. The GM adressed the Canucks needs and stated that he'd be a fit:
«Nikita was a name out there in conversations earlier. We talked internally here and we felt it was a fit for us at this point.»
A FUTURE FOR ZADOROV IN VANCOUVER?
Zadorov will be an unrestricted free agent by the end of the season and both parties have already made it clear that they'd be evaluating the option of extending the defenceman's stay in Vancouver.
Allvin addressed that subject and stated that both the Canucks and Zadorov would be entering a learning process during which they'd be getting to know each other. Zadorov is obviously in love with the city as he's stated before, but it'll be an opportunity to see if he likes the way Tocchet manages things and if he likes the direction this team is taking.
