Even after acquiring Nikita Zadorov, it's been stated by the Canucks' GM Patrik Allvin were still on the market for defensemen. The Canucks desperately need help on the right side and the Predators just made a roster move that could spark the conversations.

TYSON BARRIE HEADED HOME?

The Victoria, BC Native Tyson Barrie was recently made a healthy scratch and his agent seek permission to talk to other team's GM. The Canucks have been looking for a right handed Defenseman and there could be an opportunity to acquire a veteran, on an expiring contract, at a low-cost.

A three-team trade proposal emerged sending Barrie to the Canucks and Allvin could be intrigued:

TO NASHVILLE

- Joni Jurmo
- 2024 Vancouver 4th Round
- 50% of Barrie's $4.5M cap hit

TO ARIZONA

- 2024 New Jersey 4th Round
- 50% of Barrie's $2.25M cap hit

TO VANCOUVER

- Tyson Barrie ($1.25M cap hit)

The Canucks would essentially be acquiring a notched 55 points in 75 games and a +36 rating last year at a near league minimum contract for two 4th Round Picks and Joni Jurmo. This could help the Canucks making a strong push toward a steep playoff run.
