On Monday, the Canadian Hockey League made a statement on their social media accounts regarding the top scorers heading into the holiday break and it featured Vancouver Canucks prospect Hunter Brzustewicz, who is playing for the OHL's Kitchener Rangers.
In their post, it shows that Hunter Brzustewicz not only sits first in the OHL in points with 55, tied with teammate Carson Rehkopf, he's also fifth in the entire Canadian Hockey
League.
Brzustewicz, 19, is having a fantastic season in the OHL and has played a huge role in helping the Kitchener Rangers to first place in the entire league heading into the holiday
break. The Washington, Michigan native is also only three points away from surpassing his point total with Kitchener in his rookie campaign in 2022-23, which he should hit no
problem in the next couple of games.
Kitchener will return to action on Friday, December 29th against the Flint Firebirds and while Brzustewicz likely wishes he'd be with the United States at the 2024 IIHF World
Junior Hockey Championship, he'll be looking to help the Rangers continue to maintain their top spot in the league and Western Conference, while solidifying himself as the the OHL's best defenceman.
