LATEST | Canucks make an official announcement regarding their three newest acquisition
The Canucks were quite active on free agency this year as they struck three important deals. They agreed on contracts with two defensemen and a centerman being Ian Cole, Carson Soucy and Teddy Blueger.
Today the organization announced the numbers that had been chosen by the team's newest members. Soucy chose to wear number 7 for the next 3 years, while Blueger will take the team's former captain number 53. Ian Cole's choice has been causing quite the stir on social media since he elected to wear the late Luc Bourdon's number 28.
The number was still up for grabs since it wasn't retired or anything. However, nobody had worn it since then and it's lighted up quite the conversation on Twitter since then.
Do you feel like the Canucks should have done something about it? Should they have made to call not to let anybody wear it?
