LATEST | Canucks make last minute announcement regarding Arturs Silovs
The Canucks General Manager, Patrik Allvin, announced that the team was sending goaltender, Arturs Silovs, to the Abbotsford Canucks.
Silovs was a 6th round pick by the Canucks in 2019. The 22-year-old goalie played with the Canucks for 5 games last season before playing 44 games in the AHL.
The Canucks had troubles in goaltending last season, with Demko getting hurt, the depth wasn't there. This season, the Canucks have acquired Casey Desmith to help their goaltending along with Thatcher Demko. This allowed them to send down Silovs who will hopefully have another strong season in the AHL.
The Canucks will move along with the Desmith-Demko goalie duo, while Arturs Silovs continues to develop in the AHL.
