LATEST | Canucks prospects dominating globally: From European Pro to Juniors, they're doing it all
The Canucks have a solid prospect pool that is turning heads all over the world right now. All of Hunter Brzustewicz, Arshdeep Bains, and Johnathan Lekkerimaki are playing great and leading in top scoring categories in their respective leagues.
Hunter Brzustewicz was a 3rd round pick in the 2023 draft. The 6'0 defenseman is proving to be a great pick for the Canucks. The 18-year-old who plays on the Kitchener Rangers leads the OHL in points with 25 points and is a +11 on the season.
Arshdeep Bains was a solid signing out of junior for the Canucks. The 22-year-old had a productive season scoring 38 points in 66 games in his first AHL season. The B.C native has reached another level this season as he is currently tied with his teammate Christian Wolanin for the league lead in points with 13.
Johnathan Lekkerimaki was the 15th overall pick in 2022. Lekkerimaki had a underwhelming 2022-2023 season but has really picked up his production this season with the Orebro HK. The 19-year-old has 8 goals through 14 games and currently leads the league in goals.
It is early into the season but it is a good sign to see these Canucks prospects having good starts to their season. The Canucks will look for these prospects to continue to grow as the season carries on.
