LATEST | Elias Pettersson lands in big spot on NHL Network's top centerman list
Every summer, the NHL Network releases lists on the top-20 players at each position heading into the season and on Sunday, they shared one of those lists.
First up, NHL centerman going into the 2023-24 season and this list is loaded with elite talent across the league and for Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson, he landed in a pretty significant position.
The NHL Network listed Elias Pettersson as the tenth-best centerman in the entire league ahead of players like Mika Zibanejad, Nico Hischier, Sebastian Aho and Evgeni Malkin.
Pettersson had an incredible 2022-23 season, recording 102 points (39 goals, 63 assists) in 80 games and is poised for another strong campaign. The 24-year-old is entering the final year of his current contract and will be a restricted free agent next summer, but the Canucks would like to get him locked up as soon as possible.
