LATEST | Good news regarding Carson Souy: Bad news for Teddy Blueger
We're just in the early stages of the season, and the Canucks have already been dealt their fair share of injuries. From Soucy to Blueger, to Brisebois, to Mikheyev, the Canucks could have used a fresh start without any damage.
BAD NEWS FOR TEDDY BLUEGER AND GUILLAUME BRISEBOIS
Blueger was just about to good to go for the team's opener, and yet Tocchet revealed today that he was now week-to-week. The forward was severely bruised in the Canucks' last pre-season game, and he's been out of commission ever since.
For his part, Guillaume Brisebois has not yet renewed his skates, and it's starting to be concerning. Here's the update HC Rick Tocchet gave earlier today:
"Tocchet says Blueger now week to week. He says Brisebois hasn't skated since his injury ten days ago. Encouraged by Soucy's progress"
CARSON SOUCY ON THE RIGHT TRACK
Everything points in the right direction for Carson Soucy; it appears that they'll be saved from the worst. Soucy's had a steady progression, and will be making the trip to Edmonton with the team. He was caught skating earlier today, and his mobility didn't seem to be deficient:
The Canucks could use some reinforcements in Edmonton. After Wednesday's blow out, it would be a major surprise if they didn't come ready.
