LATEST | Leaked picture points to Elias Pettersson's injury
It's been a rough go lately for Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson as his production has dipped slightly.
Many had been wondering if the 24-year-old was dealing with an injury of some sort and it appears that he may be.
During Friday's broadcast of the Canucks' game against the Seattle Kraken, Elias Pettersson was seen wearing tape on his left wrist.
"Sure looks like it 😬" a fan pointed out on X.
Some fans and analysts first noticed that Pettersson may be injured after he wasn't taking many faceoffs during Wednesday's game against the Colorado Avalanche.
It's unclear what may be ailing Pettersson, as there's no information from the team, which is understandable as he's trying to play through whatever it may be.
During last night's game, Pettersson went pointless and had two shots on goal. It's going to be interesting to see how he performs tonight as the Canucks wrap up their road trip in San Jose against the Sharks.
