The Vancouver Canucks returned home on Wednesday night after a three-game road trip to take on the New York Islanders.
After being down 2-0 following the first period, the Canucks bounced back and won the game in overtime, thanks to captain Quinn Hughes, who finished the game with three points.
The National Hockey League's Public Relations account on X made a statement regarding Quinn Hughes on Wednesday night. In their post, they shared that Hughes is the fastest player in Vancouver Canucks franchise history to reach the 20-assist mark, which he hit in 16 games.
"Quinn Hughes recorded his fifth three-point game of the season the most among all players capped by an overtime winner to help the
@Canucks complete a multi-goal comeback victory."
After his three-point game, Hughes is now up to 26 points this season and sits in first in the NHL alongside teammates Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller.
