MAJOR | Canucks make an announcement regarding Filip Hronek: Entering team records
Filip Hronek has been a bit of a surprising bright spot this season and with playing alongside Quinn Hughes, has formed the best defense pairing in the NHL.
On Wednesday night against the New York Islanders, Filip Hronek played a huge role in the Canucks' comeback.
In the third period, Hronek scored his first goal as a Vancouver Canuck on a 100 MPH shot, to tie the game at 3-3.
With his goal, Hronek also extended his point streak, which is now tied for the longest of any defenceman in Vancouver Canucks history.
"FIRST AS A CANUCK❗️
100 MPH SHOT❗️
TIED LONGEST POINT STREAK AS A CANUCKS DEFENCEMAN❗️
What a goal, Filip Hronek."
Hronek and the Canucks will be back in action on Thursday night as they make the quick trip to Calgary to take on the Flames at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.
