Early in the season, the Canucks have already dealt with their share of injuries. They opened their season with four important players sidelined, and recent developments have confirmed the worst.

ROSTER MOVEMENT CONFIRMS THE WORST

While Carson Soucy and Ilya Mikheyev seem to be much closer to a return, no confluent update has been given on Teddy Blueger, and Guillaume Brisebois' name has just been added to the Long-Term Injury Reserve . Meaning the defenceman will be missing, at the very least, ten games or 24 days worth of NHL activities:

'' General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that D Guillaume Brisebois has been placed on LTIR. F Jack Studnicka's emergency conditions have been terminated, and he remains on regular recall.''

Now that Brisebois is on LTIR, the Canucks get a cap exemption at the worth of his cap hit, allowing the Canucks to have Jack Studnicka on a regular call.

Brisebois made a name for himself as a steady and reliable defenceman during the 2022-2023 campaign. After his 17-game stint, he was awarded a two-year extension.

The Canucks will be facing the Flyers in a matter of minutes; it has not yet been determined whether or not Carson Soucy will be up to make his Canucks' debut.
