LATEST | Patrik Allvin makes an announcement regarding Elias Pettersson: His intentions are very clear
The Canucks continue to be unwavering in their pursuit of re-signing star centreman Elias Pettersson.
On Saturday speaking with Dan Murphy, Canucks GM Patrik Allvin reiterated the Canucks desire to re-sign Pettersson, and said the player is well aware of that.
I'm very pleased with Elias, and he knows where we stand and knows how much we want to keep him in Vancouver,
Allvin said.
Pettersson, who is an RFA at season's end, has not been in a rush to negotiate with the Canucks.
After a career best 102 points last season, the 25 year old has 57 points in 42 games and is on pace to set yet another career benchmark.
The Canucks are ready to sign him, and will seemingly ink him to a new deal whenever he's ready.
