LATEST | Patrik Allvin makes his intentions clear with Elias Pettersson
The Vancouver Canucks are being very clear: they want Elias Pettersson to stay in Vancouver for the long haul.
On the Saturday night broadcast Elliotte Friedman reported that the Canucks have left the ball in Pettersson's court when it comes to re-signing, letting the Swede know they're eager to get a deal done.
Friedman says that GM Patrik Allvin and Pettersson met with each other on the team's most recent road trip.
I just think the two of them talked about what's been going on and I think the Canucks reiterated that when he's ready, they would like to extend him,
Friedman said.
Pettersson is on the last year of a 3 year contract worth $7.35 million yearly and will be an RFA at season's end.
