LATEST | The NHL makes a scoring change in the win against the Flames: Zadorov did not get his first goal as a Canuck
The Canucks acquired the tall Defenseman Nikita Zadorov from the Flames earlier this week. The d-man made his Canucks' debut against his former team and did quite well. Especially late in the game when everybody thought he had been credited with his first Canuck goal.
However, the NHL just issued a statement confirming that Elias Pettersson had touched the puck prior to it crossing the line.

Vancouver's goal at 18:40 of the third period now reads Elias Pettersson from Nikita Zadorov and Tyler Myers. #NHLStats'' During his post-game interview, the Canucks' newest addition was very well aware of the fact that Pettey had indeed touch the puck and made sure everybody knew:
The Canucks played a solid game collecting a win against the Flames who had been playing well as of late. Adding a Defenseman of Zadorov's stature sure makes the team harder to play against.
