Thatcher Demko posted his 4th shutout on Saturday afternoon in Buffalo, tying him for the league lead and becoming the first Canucks goaltender to accomplish the feat in over 10 years.

The last shutout in Buffalo by a Canuck goalie was accomplished by Roberto Luongo on October 17, 2013. The Canucks won that game 3-0 on the strength of goals by Chris Higgins, Brad Richardson, and Ryan Stanton.

Roberto Luongo turned away 25 shots in that game, continuing a promising start to the Canucks 2013-14 season that would end up being barely over .500 resulting in the team missing playoffs, while the Sabres would ultimately finish last in the NHL by more than 10 points.

On Saturday, Thatcher Demko topped the Canucks' legend by one save, stopping all 26 Sabre shots in the first meeting between the two teams.

His 4 shutouts put him in a three-way tie for first with Tristan Jarry and Connor Ingram.
