LATEST | Vancouver Canucks rise on TSN's most recent power rankings
A new week means a new edition of the power rankings from TSN Hockey and this time, the Vancouver Canucks saw themselves rise.
After going 2-2-0 in their last four games over the last week, the Vancouver Canucks moved back into the top-ten and are now ranked fifth on TSN's list, a six spot jump from 11th place last Monday.
"Back into the top-10, the Vancouver Canucks climb from 11th to 5th this week. Vancouver went 2-2-0 last week but remains one point out of top spot in the Pacific Division. While the Canucks are seeing some of the regression we predicted earlier this season, they still rank 9th in expected goals and 12th in expected goals against. Vancouver is a solid team but it looks a step below the Golden Knights and Kings in their division." TSN said.
The Canucks only sit behind the Los Angeles Kings (first), Colorado Avalanche (second), New York Rangers (third) and fellow Canadian club, the Winnipeg Jets (fourth) in this week's power rankings.
This week is poised to be a fairly big one for the Canucks as they return home to Rogers Arena following a three-game road trip. The Canucks will take on the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday and Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday, followed by a trip to Calgary to battle the Flames on Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday. Puck drop for all three games this week is set for 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET.
