With less than two weeks left until the NHL's deadline for the 2024-25 season, Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser has landed back on a trade targets list.

Earlier this month, following the J.T. Miller trade with the New York Rangers and acquiring Marcus Pettersson from Pittsburgh, Brock Boeser fell off some trade target lists, but now the pending UFA forward is back on one of them as deadline is quickly approaching.

Brock Boeser lands on Daily Faceoff's Trade Targets Board

On Friday afternoon, Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff released his updated trade targets board and in the most recent edition, the insider has added Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser to the list.
Boeser comes in at number 15 on the trade targets list, with Frank Seravalli saying that both sides are comfortable letting things play out over the next couple of weeks leading up to the deadline.
Seravalli added that if the Vancouver Canucks have aspirations of contending in the years to come, they'll need some scoring support and with the salary cap rising, have more than enough money to re-sign Brock Boeser before he hits the open market on July 1st.
"It's been a slow-moving game of 'chicken' between the Canucks and Boeser's camp, both completely comfortable playing this out. They essentially dared him to go out and replicate his 40-goal season. He's on track for 28 with seven games missed due to injury, which is actually above his career average. Now with the increasing cap is on his side, he's a younger UFA, and the Canucks are really going to need scoring support if they have designs on competing again anytime soon. Plus they currently have the cap room to re-sign him." Servalli said.

With his name being mentioned in trade rumors for what feels like months now, Brock Boeser has been trying to do his best to tune out the noise and says he's trying to do whatever it takes to help the Canucks get the two points every night.
"No, not really. There's not really an update. I haven't really talked to my agent, so I'm just trying to worry about continuing to play well." Boeser said.

He added, "I feel that me and my linemates have got some good chemistry going and have been playing solid hockey, so I'm really focused on continuing that and getting back to my game and helping contribute and helping our team win. That's really all I'm focused on right now."

Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks could be very busy leading up to the trade deadline on Friday, March 7th as they continue to evaluate their options and their needs in order to make a push for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
One area Patrik Allvin will need to address before the deadline is down the middle as there's a big hole following the J.T. Miller trade back at the end of January.
There won't be a shortage of options for him including Ryan Donato of the Chicago Blackhawks, Jake Evans of the Montreal Canadiens or even Brock Nelson of the New York Islanders.
Stay tuned to Canucks Daily for all your news on the Vancouver Canucks leading up to the National Hockey League's trade deadline at 12 pm PT on March 7th.
