MAJOR | NHL analyst Craig Button just made a very intriguing statement on the Canucks and two of their superstars
We're now 12 games into the season and the Canucks have made a clear statement regarding their intentions. Quinn Hughes spoke up before the season started and was oblivious that no Canuck would be a passenger this year and that they were just sick of losing.
LEADING THE WAY AND COMING OFF STRONG
Recently named captain, Hughes is off to a strong start in every aspect of the game, and so is Elias Pettersson. Currently leading the league in points with 20 and 21 respectively, it goes without saying that everyone is taking notice, even the infamous Eastern Media.
The NHL analyst Craig Button spoke with the Canucks Insider Rick Dhaliwal and commented on the impact of the Canucks' superstar, and it says a lot about the place they now occupy within this league:
'The best player in the NHL is Quinn Hughes and the 2nd best player in the NHL is Elias Pettersson. Most of the East doesn't know that, but in my eyes, those are the two best players in the league.''
Under Rick Tocchet's guidance, the Canucks' dynamic duo has been carrying the team to new heights, and others have followed; J.T. Miller has been excellent, Thatcher Demko's been Vezina-Trophy good, and even Tyler Myers has been performing well lately. We're starting to get the feels of a new era in Vancouver, and hopefully, this 12-game stretch is only the beginning of a Dynasty.
