Ever since the Canucks named Quinn Hughes their captain, he's been a man on a mission. Not only have the Canucks been on fire since the season started, but from Elias Pettersson, to J.T. Miller, to Thatcher Demko and even Nils Hoglander, everyone has been it's share.

AN HALL OF FAMER DEBUT?

Last night marked yet another multipoint game for the Canucks superstar defenceman who now counts 20 points in 12 games, which now places him on top of all d-men, but also one point behind Elias Pettersson who leads the NHL.

With his outstanding at against the Oilers, Hughes now became the fourth fastest defenceman to reach the 20 points mark with only Paul Coffey, Bobby Orr and John Carlson surpassing him. Hughes is now the only defensemen to record three four points outings during the same campaign in franchise history.

If Quinn Hughes felt disrespected by last year's Norris Trophy voting, he's definitely making a strong statement thus far. Currently in pace for 136 points, not only could eclipse Erik Karlsson's 2022-2023 totals, he could also show him how to play defence since he has the best plus/minus differential since the season started.
