MAJOR | Nils Hoglander absolutely destroys Brandon Tanev center ice: The Kraken's forward sent to the infirmary
Nils Hoglander has been playing on a whole new level recently and he may be forcing his way into the team's top six. Hoglander added another goal tonight which now has him on a 4-game point streak, but it's not all he's provided for the Canucks.
Hoglander has been displaying a new level of intensity and physicality. Tonight, the Kraken and most specifically Brandon Tanev, have been made aware of it. The Swede laid a massive hit on Tanev in the middle of the ice:
The Kraken later provided an in-update confirming that Tanev had been sent to the infirmary and did not finish the game:
' #SeaKraken forward Brandon Tanev is out for the remainder of tonight's game with a lower-body injury.''
Ever since Hoglander came back from his stint in Abbotsford last year, his game has definitely grown and he's been constantly proving his worth. Perhaps it's time he finally gets a real opportunity on the team's top six? Has he done enough to gain a spot on Miller and Boeser's line?
With 7 goals and 10 points through 19 games on the team's bottom 6 with limited time on the power play, is he there yet?
