After it was revealed the Vancouver Canucks were bringing up defenceman Cole McWard from the AHL, the Abbotsford Canucks have announced a roster move of their own.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Abbotsford announced that they've recalled defenceman Michael Joyaux from his loan in the East Coast Hockey League.

"The following transaction has occurred:

Abbotsford recalls D Michael Joyaux from loan to Kalamazoo (ECHL)"

Joyaux, 26, has appeared in 12 games with the ECHL'S Kalamazoo Wings this season, putting up six points (two goals, four assists), two penalty minutes and is a minus-three.

The Abbotsford Canucks will be back in action on Saturday as they take on the Calgary Wranglers.
