MAJOR | Ten million dollar star benched: Nothing is working in Columbus
The Columbus Blue Jackets did not play Johnny Gaudreau in the final 16:07 of their game against the Washington Capitals last night.
Johnny Gaudreau holds a cap hit of $10 million and they need him to step up. The Blue Jackets ended up losing 2-1 to the Capitals as they struggled on offense.
Blue Jackets head coach, Pascal Vincent, said about the Gaudreau benching, "...Everything is earned...it's not about your name, it's about what's in front of your jersey and who we believe are going to give us a chance to win..."
The Blue Jackets take on the Panthers on Monday, the Blue jackets will need more from Gaudreau as the season moves along.
