Michael Buble reveals wild bet he made with Thatcher Demko
Thatcher Demko is chasing his first Vezina Trophy this year, and he may be looking for his first Grammy as well.
Canadian pop star Michael Bublé, a native of Burnaby, B.C who still lives in the Vancouver area, was on the most recent episode of Spittin Chiclets to discuss his relationship with hockey and namely, with the Vancouver Canucks.
Bublé talked about the friendships he has forged with Canuck players and discussed an interesting bet he made with Thatcher Demko that could see the goalie showing off his singing chops.
Bublé said he bet Demko that in 5 breakaway chances he could score once, and if he does the netminder has to join him on stage at an upcoming concert.
I get five breakways, if I score on one you have to come to my show and get up on stage in front of 15,000 people and you have to sing,
Bublé said.
Bublé says that the goalie told him that in that case he'll let him score, because that would be his dream come true.
The Canucks hope he can bring them a Stanley Cup before he starts working on his record deal.
