After 16 seasons with the Boston Bruins, Captain Brad Marchand's days are officially numbered.. and the Vancouver Canucks may just have what they need to get a deal done.

With the lack of progress between the Vancouver Canucks and Brock Boeser on signing a contract extension, it is almost guaranteed that he will be traded by the NHL deadline in order to at least get something in return.

Vancouver Canucks trade proposal for Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand

While the #bruins continue to go back and forth with Brad Marchand on a possible contract extension, word is they're still open to potentially trading their captain: Teams calling with interest aren't being told "no" right now.
A recent report has indicated that general manager Patrik Allvin and the Canucks have not received the offers they have expected for the former 40-goal scorer, and with just 24 hours until the deadline, they may need to pull the trigger with a less than equal candidate Age wise.
Canucks Daily makes a trade proposal that would send Brock Boeser and a conditional 3rd-round pick to the Bruins for the veteran leader Brad Marchand.
To Boston Bruins:

Brock Boeser (RW, 27 years old, 2 years @ $6.65M AAV)
Conditional 2025 3rd-Round Pick (upgrades to 2nd if Canucks reach Conference Finals in 2025)

To Vancouver Canucks:
Brad Marchand (LW, 36 years old, 1 year @ $6.125M AAV)

With the currently out of a playoff spot, it may be their opportunity to start a rebuild for the first time in over a decade, and a player like Boeser who is currently entering his prime can be a major piece to their future core.
Although at the tail end of his career, Marchand can still add a lot to the Canucks locker room in terms of leadership, motivation and experience.
Not to mention that he still produces in an elite manner on offense, scoring 47 in 61 games this season while battling injuries.
Obviously Boeser wants to remain a Canuck, but by the looks of the ongoing negotiations, Vancouver needs to get something in return now or else you risk losing him for nothing during the offseason.
