Matt Rempe's time in the NHL with the New York Rangers could come to an end after the matchup with the Vancouver Canucks as Captain Quinn Hughes showcases just how much of a discrepancy of skill there is.
March 22nd has been a date that many fans and analysts have has circled on their calendar for a while now.
It was the first time the Vancouver Canucks and New York Rangers face off against one another since the blockbuster trade went down that sent Miller to the Big Apple.
Unfortunately for the Canucks they lost in a game they dominated from start to finish, recording the most shots on the season and recorded the least amount of shots against, but still losing...
Matt Rempe Embarrassed by Quinn Hughes
One thing that stuck out this game, well, like most games is that Captain Quinn Hughes was in his usual form, making elite players look silly on the ice.
His skill was on full display and glaringly apparent when Hughes walked the blue line against 4th liner and power forward Matt Rempe, sending the 6'9 forward to ice with embarrassment.
Hughes with the moves, Joshua with the finish. 🤌
Fans starting making jokes on social media, saying Hughes is in a league of his own and Matt Rempe just came to the realization he has no business being on the same ice as him.
They went as far to say Rempe is already starting to pack his bags as Chris Drury will be sending him down to the American Hockey League (AHL) after the embarrassment of getting his ankles broken.
It wasn't just his moves that did the talking, but also recorded his 400th career point, playing in just his 421st NHL game and is now currently on pace to SHATTER the Canucks franchise record for a defenseman in nearly 500 less games played.
