Bad news for the Canucks as Elias Pettersson has gone to the dressing room after an awkward play in the faceoff circle.
Ever since the Vancouver Canucks traded away J.T. Miller to the New York Rangers do to an unsolvable rift between him and Elias Pettersson, this reunion has been circled on every fans' calendar.
Unfortunately now, their chance to see Miller and Pettersson have any heated altercation has been snuffed out as Pettersson has left the game.

Halfway through the 2nd period in the Big Apple, Elias Pettersson was seen in some discomfort on a seemingly harmless play where he was waived out of the faceoff circle by the referee.

Pettersson immediately rushed to the bench and was seen heading down the tunnel, leaving the game with no news on his return.
This can not come at more of a terrible time for the Vancouver Canucks.
For one, they are in a tight race for the final wild card spot in the western conference and Pettersson is playing his best hockey of the season right now and the last thing the Canucks need is another name added to their long list of injuries.
With only minutes left in the second period, Pettersson returned to the Vancouver Canucks bench, but that did not last long.
As the third period commenced, Pettersson did not join his team and fans are currently waiting on the official report on what his ailment is.
