Jett Woo had the best season of his professional career so far during the 2023-24 campaign, which was his fourth full year in the AHL after spending parts of five years in the Western Hockey League.
It's been a summer to remember for Jett Woo as well. Because of his strong season, Woo, who was set to become a restricted free agent, earned a one-year, two-way deal for 2024-25 with the Vancouver Canucks. But that's only the second biggest news to come from Woo this summer.
In a social media post by the Abbotsford Canucks on Monday, it was announced that Jett Woo proposed to his now fiancé, Taylor, recently.
The 24-year-old is going to get a long look during training camp next month and will more than likely feature in the majority of Vancouver's pre-season games. While he might not make the Canucks' opening night roster due to new additions to the roster, including Vincent Desharnais and Derek Forbort, Woo is poised to make his NHL debut at some point during the 2024-25 campaign.
Last season, the Winnipeg, Manitoba native set new career highs in assists and points, while playing a big role for the Abbotsford Canucks on the blueline. In 62 games, Woo had 31 points (seven goals, 24 assists), 93 penalty minutes and had an even-rating.
Everyone here at Canucks Daily would like to congratulate Jett Woo and his fiancé, Taylor, on their engagement!
