Since Dakota Joshua returned, he's been forming a line with J.T. Miller and Conor Garland, and they've had nice flashes. Joshua scored two in Anaheim and ultimately led the team to the win. Following the game, Conor Garland was asked how he felt about his new linemates, and his response showed how much he valued Miller.
The Canucks' top player ever since he arrived in Vancouver, Garland went as far as calling him a top-five player in the world.
On the verge of establishing a new personal high in points, Miller has been a beast throughout this whole season, and there is no stopping him. With 94 points through 74 games, he needs 6 to break his career high and the 100-point barrier and 8 games to get it done.
Garland, on his part, has come a long way since the end of the 2022-2023 campaign. The feisty winger had asked for a trade out of Vancouver before the season began but ultimately rescinded that request due to his feelings toward the team. While it may not have been his best point-producing season, he's been one of the team's most valuable players.
As we near the playoffs and Elias Lindholm returns, it'll be extremely intriguing to see how Tocchet manages his lines. An interesting problem to have, hopefully he finds a way to figure it out before game one.
