LATEST | Weird turn of events in Vancouver: Teams calling for Elias Lindholm?
The Vancouver Canucks are in the midst of the President's Trophy race as the top team in the NHL. Looking to bolster their roster in anticipation of a playoff run, they acquired Calgary's Elias Lindholm several weeks ago, shipping out sophomore slumping Andrei Kuzmenko.
Lindholm has only scored four goals as a member of the Canucks (coming in two separate multi-goal efforts), and has been held pointless in six straight games. He recently has been skating on the third line.
Elliotte Friedman reports that the team has considered targeting Penguins forward Jake Guentzel, perhaps in response to Lindholm's struggles.
Thought he does say a Guentzel trade is unlikely for the Canucks, Friedman still wonders if there's a chance it may formulate, or if the team may move on from Lindholm already.
