The Bell Centre was rocking on Saturday night as Canada took on the United States at the 4 Nations Face-Off, with a trio of fights to kick things off, including one featuring former Vancouver Canuck J.T. Miller.

Leading up to Saturday's contest, the American national anthem has been booed at both NHL games and the US' matchup with Finland on Thursday, with former Canuck J.T. Miller saying that it fires them up.

J.T. Miller comments on chaos to start Canada-USA game

Miller wasn't lying when he said that it fired them up as in the first nine seconds of last night's game, three fights broke out - Matthew Tkachuk vs Brandon Hagel, Brady Tkachuk vs Sam Bennett, and the former Canuck squared off with Colton Parayko.
After the dust settled and the two nations got to actually play the game, Connor McDavid opened the scoring for Canada, but the United States would rattle off three unanswered goals to take the win by a score of 3-1.
Following the game, former Vancouver Canuck J.T. Miller met with reporters where he was asked about the fights at the start of the game.
Miller said that it was a lot of fun and one of the coolest experiences he's had on the ice, adding that while there's definitely some bad blood between the teams, he has a lot of respect for Team Canada.
"That was pretty fun. That was the coolest experience I've probably had on the ice, one of them. To hear the building like that, it's something you'll never forget. There's a lot of bad blood, but at the same time, tons of respect for the other team." Miller said according to Mollie Walker of the New York Post.
With the win, the United States booked their spot in the championship game on Thursday night in Boston, while Canada likely has the inside track at meeting them there, they'll have to beat Finland tomorrow in regulation, or things will get tricky.
If Canada or Finland win in regulation, they advance to the championship game, but if either nation win in overtime or a shootout, then Sweden has an opportunity to book their place in the final with a regulation win over the United States.
Puck drop for Canada's game tomorrow against Finland, who will have Kevin Lankinen in net, is set for 10 am PT (1pm local) and can be viewed nationally on Sportsnet.
